For those of you who haven organised yourselves to see the flowers yet. DO SO! as they are already out early with all the great sunny weather we have been having.
2 Sept - 4 Sept - Flower Tour
Fantastic, Awesome, Spectacular We drove up to Clanwilliam attended the flower show. Drove on to Van Rhynsdorp and stayed over at a B&B called Talk of the Town. Which it certainly was. The weather for the first day Friday was cold 9 degrees and overcast so there weren't many flowers. Saturday we left after breakfast wan motored on towards Lorriesfontein and went to see the Waterfall just outside Niewoudtville and the on to the Quiver Tree Forest. By this time the weather was warm at 17 degrees and sunny and the flowers were spectacular. We went back to Niewoudtville to visit the Nature Reserve there that was stunning and from there to the R364 through the Bideouw Valley where the best flowers were seen along the gravel road and then back to Clanwilliam and home a round trip for two days. Fantastic and enjoyed by all.
In the mean time Duckitt Nurseries are having their Famous Orchid Show on the farm Oudepost in Darling on the 15 Sept 2011 Tickets are R25 each and Pensioners R15, its a great outing and the wild flower show can also be seen in the Town.
We have also had a lot of correspondence from the Scouting & Cub fraternity to hold some more camps. Especially over the school holidays were kids need to be supervised and can enjoy the great outdoors.
We will be looking at holding camps again for these types of organization. Please feel free to contact us should you wish to view an interactive CD of our kids camps.
